Film Projects

Act Now are also able to create short films to get a point across.

If you have a presentation, conference or event that you feel would benefit from an entertaining and stimulating short film to make an impact, contact us and we will see how we can help.

Many of Act Now’s performances have been multi-media presentations that have included short films.

Some projects working with young people have been filmed and edited into dvds for the group to keep.

We were also the supporting organisation and directors of a young people lead film about diversity, entitled “All the Difference”, which received funding from the Youth Opportunity fund in summer 2008.

All The Difference
During the summer holidays of 2008 Act Now supported a group of young people to create a short film about difference and diversity, we called it "All the Difference".

It explored topics such as racism, prejudice, homophobia, religious prejudice, and stereotyping, disabled discrimination and age discrimination.

Act Now lead the young people in writing scenes, monologues and raps, filming and editing the final product.

The Aim of the project was to get the film viewed in as many venues around the city as possible and influence people in Hull to be more accepting and open to different people.

This objective is still being followed up by Act Now, so if you think you have a group, event or venue where it can be shown please contact us for a free copy of the DVD.
