All of us have our favourite childhood tale that once captured our imagination and coloured our world. Act Now perform a range of such magical stories to entertain and enlighten the children of today.

Playshops

Clowning around
This five minute, fast paced physical performance creates interest from afar and captures the attention of anyone in the area. The characters are whacky and the moves acrobatic. The performance then turns interactive as the audience step up to try the moves for themselves… if they dare!

 

Games
The fun continues as the group that has been formed join in with team games, competitions and general silliness. Join in and you might even win a prize! Try your hand at juggling or twiddling the poi too!
The playshops work brilliantly alongside the magical stories to create a two hour session, perfect for children’s or family events. We offer a combination of stories and playshops, so whether you want a one off story or a whole series of sessions, simply contact us and we will do our best to deliver!

Christmas Time
The Show

Nothing will get you into the festive season quite like Act Now’s Christmas time verity show. Lively characters like Fred and elmo the elf take you on a journey to the northern star. Then an interactive story reveals how Santa got his helpers.
The entertainment is non-stop from jingle bell jazz dances to classic Christmas carols. And of course they all have a big party to celebrate the happy ending. Filled with warm heart-felt moments and physical acrobatics, this show brings the excitement and true meaning of Christmas to the hearts of all who watch.



The Festive Funshop

After the entertainment we lead the party into many fun festive games and activities, from Santa’s statues and pass the parcel to team games like 123 Santa’s coming. Christmas presents are given to the winners of all the games and everyone is left filled with the Christmas spirit.

Tails of Terror

THE SHOW


Act Now Presents Tails of Terror. A sequence of short horror tales in the form of scary zombie dances, spooky poems and tales of creatures from the underworld. But it’s not all doom and gloom. We also celebrate the origins of the holiday and encourage a positive attitude towards the coming “darkness” of the year.


The Skeleton Lady who eats anything alive, Whinny the witch who loves to cast spells and Jagged John the Pirate are just some of the creepy characters that fill your All Hallows Eve party with fun filled fear!

 

The scareshop

After the tails of terror we go on to play a variety of Halloween themed games. From traditional apple bobbing and scary statues to three legged eye ball races. Prizes are given to the winners of the all the games and everyone is guaranteed to have a Halloween they will never forget.
